About me

Here is my idea for a bio, but to be honest, not my strongest area! My preferred areas of specialization include working with anxiety/chronic worry, overthinking/rumination, depression, life transitions and adjustments (career, relocation, school, parenthood, relationships ending/beginning, identity shifts), stress, self-esteem and self-doubt, burnout, boundaries and people-pleasing patterns, relationship/communication skills, academic and college-related stress, young adult development and identity formation, and emotional regulation and coping skills development. I’m comfortable with a variety of ages as well, and I have worked with clients who have trauma, self-harm, suicidality.

“People often come to therapy thinking they need to “fix” themselves. In reality, many are thoughtful, caring, capable people who have been carrying too much for too long–responsibilities, expectations, decisions, and emotions they don’t always have space to process.

You may notice you think constantly, second-guess your choices, replay conversations, or feel responsible for how others feel. From the outside your life may look stable, but internally you might feel overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure of who you are and what direction your life is moving in. Over time, this can become heavy and exhausting.

My role in therapy is not to judge, label, or rush you toward answers. Instead, we slow down and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface–your patterns, reactions, and the beliefs you’ve learned about yourself and your relationships. As understanding grows, change becomes much more natural and less forced.

I believe insight is powerful, but understanding alone doesn’t create change. In our work together, we combine reflection with practical skills you can use outside of sessions such as setting boundaries without guilt, managing anxious thoughts, communicating more clearly, and making decisions with greater confidence.

My style is collaborative, grounded, and non-judgmental. I am engaged and active in sessions, offering perspective, reflection, and gentle challenge when helpful. My goal is for you to leave not just feeling heard, but also clearer, more grounded, and better able to trust your own judgment in daily life. Therapy is not about becoming a different person–it is about understanding yourself well enough that life begins to feel more manageable and more your own.

You do not have to arrive with everything figured out. Showing up as you are is more than enough to begin.”
